If a seller is marked verified on Mana Pool, that means we have conducted an interview with the seller and/or requested supporting documentation to verify their identity and other information they claim about their business.
Based on various factors, sellers may be automatically disabled on Mana Pool until they undergo a seller verification meeting. Seller verification helps Mana Pool to prevent bad actors from coming onto the marketplace, which can create bad experiences for buyers and operational issues for Mana Pool, and verification helps to make sure sellers act in accordance with Mana Pool's standards for sellers.
Verification also helps Mana Pool to develop personal relationships with sellers on the market. Verification calls often lead to great feedback from sellers that helps us improve Mana Pool. Verification calls are also used to make sure sellers have set up their account well on Mana Pool, and to make sure sellers understand the policies and tools on Mana Pool.
Regardless of the verification status of sellers, Mana Pool will protect buyers by providing refunds or replacements for issues with orders, per our refund/return policy.
Requesting verification
In order to become verified, you must either:
- have received a notification that your account requires verification
- run a brick and mortar store
- OR have 25 confirmed orders on Mana Pool - to see your confirmed sales, navigate to https://manapool.com/shop/YOUR_USERNAME/profile - you can get to that page by navigating to your shop and appending /profile, or clicking the "N sales" link in the top left
Sellers who have not been automatically required to do verification may request a Seller verification meeting by emailing support@manapool.com.
Seller verification is not limited to brick & mortar stores, and we will conduct a seller verification interview with any seller on Mana Pool. Our availability for a seller verification meeting may vary, and meetings are currently booked a few weeks out.
